On December 11, the senior members of LUNCH
were invited to the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City for the World Hunger Year
30th Anniversary Benefit featuring a concert by the Chapins. LUNCH
presented a donation of $1,000 to WHY, and received an award from WHY
recognizing LUNCH as an innovative grassroots solution to addressing issues of
hunger and poverty.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Cast and
Crew of the 2005 HOLIDAY SHOW ! It was another Great Success ! You
earned that standing ovation from the capacity-crowd. Photos will be
posted in the gallery soon. We hope to see you all on Dec 2, 2006
for next year's show, "Christmas With the Super Heroes"

Nov 5 -- The Ensemble at Dunns Corners Community Presbyterian Church
in Westerly, RI
7:30 (6:!5 pre-show) to benefit the Harvest Home Shelter in Westerly
Nov 18 -- Kay, Bill and Melody with Michael Hopkins in
a Heart & Spiral Concert at
All-Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, New London,
7:30pm to benefit the New London Homeless Shelter

The 2005 Independent Music Conference in
Philadelphia over Labor Day weekend was another great success, with
Bill and Kay presenting workshops and performing. |
BILL, KAY and MELODY were in Los Angeles
in August.. Bill did a songwriting workshop for Songsalive, there
was a house concert in Garden Grove, and everyone spent a couple of days
in the Mojave Desert - 104 degrees, and then took in the Circus in Anaheim.

The Harry Chapin Tribute Show at University of Hartford's "Music For a Change"
Series was an incredible finish for our Spring season, as we were joined
by Scott Sivakoff from Maryland. The Ensemble put on a top notch show in
their 3rd appearance in this series, and we were pleased to present a donation
of $1,000 to Mike Grayeb of World Hunger Year (below, left). We also
thank the Hard Rock Cafe for making LUNCH one of their supported organizations,
and they presented us with a check for $2,200. Photos are
posted in the photo album.

THANKS TO ALL THE ENSEMBLE FOR A GREAT SHOW ON
APRIL 2 at St. Michael's Center in Baltic, CT. (below) Special thanks to
the parents who helped organize the concert. We raised approximately
$1,200 for local social services. Phtots are posted in the photo album.

THANKS TO ALL THE ENSEMBLE FOR A GREAT SHOW ON
MARCH 19 in Westerly RI. Special thanks to the parents who helped
organize the concert. We helped raise approximately $ 1,700
for Tsunami relief and for local social services.
NOVEMBER 5, 2005 :
The Ensemble returns to Westerly, RI for a family concert at
Dunns Corners Community Presbyterian Church -- 7pm with pre-show beginning
at 6:15. Along with the favorite LUNCH songs will be a preview
of some of the Holiday Show music as well.

MAY 14, 2005 -- the "Even Better than
Chocolate" CD RELEASE CONCERT !
-- and the debut of Kay's trio "Heart and Spiral" was a great success.
Grammy award winning Nashville producer Michael Hopkins was on bass guitar,
with Bill and Melody on guitars and percussion. Proceeds
benefit the Women's Center of SE Connecticut. |
