DECEMBER 6, 2008
The 2008 LUNCH Holiday Show

DECEMBER NEWS!

Bill  Pere was named as one the Top 50 Innovators, Groundbreakers, Iconoclasts, and Guiding Lights of the Music Industry by Music Connection Magazine, one of the oldest and most respected music business publications.  ( article here )

Bill was named by General Mills and Wakefern Foods as one of their  Top 10 Hunger Fighting Hereos.  He will appear on a Special Edition Cheerios Box, available in all Shop-Rite stores.

Bill appears on the cover of the new 10th Edition Indie Bible,  the #1 reference book for independent artists in the music business.

NOVEMBER 15, 2008

The Ensemble teamed up with artists from the Connecticut Songwriters Association to raise almost $1,800 at the 6th Annual Day of Praise Concert in Hamden.


SUMMER 2008:

In August:  LUNCH begins the Fall season at J.B. Williams Park in Glastonbury, at the annual CSA Showcase/Picnic . August 24, 1-5pm -- FREE SHOW !

Our 13th Annual Summer Music Camp at Camp Wightman
Fifty-five campers, counselors, and LUNCH kids had a fun-filled week ending with 2 outstanding  performances

NEW RECORDINGS !
 

S.A.S.S  (Sisters Against Sad Societies) is a new CD-single from our Voices For Hope program

It features
Samantha And Stefanie Shaufler singing about using the fire and energy of youth to make the world a more hopeful place.

On July 4, 2008, Bill and Kay had new songs released on the Compilation CD, "An American Sampler", along with 8 other artists.  The CD is a collection of Americana, Nostalgia, and Patriotic Songs, including several moving tributes to the events of  9/11.  Kay's song "Army Boots and Satin Slippers" is released for the first time, as is Bill's new song
"I Am Erica".

Also featured are "Because the Sky Fell Down", and  "Heart of the Storm".

In June, Bill and Kay were in West Virginia to present and perform at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences at the National Independent Music Conference.

MAY 2008

May 21 - Bill is at Central CT State University to present a math workshop at CAMPY (CT Association for Mathematically Precocious Youth)

May 18 - The Ensemble presents a Hunger Awareness Concert in Westerly RI, to benefit the Harvest Home Shelter.

May 9 -- We were back at the Shubert Theater in New Haven with
the original Harry Chapin Band. It was truly a night to remember, as the Ensemble and the Chapin Band put on a great show to a standing ovation.

Bill and Kay were presenters and performers at the Singer-Songwriter Conference in Cape May, NJ, March 6-8.

Bill was at the Hart School of Music (University of Hartford) to present a songwriting workshop for the Glastonbury Inter-District Middle School Composition Session.

Bill presented a Math/Music curriculum enrichment program for the Westerly Middle School, January-March
