SUMMER 2008:
Our 13th Annual Summer Music Camp at Camp Wightman
Fifty-five campers, counselors, and LUNCH kids had a fun-filled week ending with
2 outstanding performances

Sad Societies) is a new CD-single from our
Voices
For Hope program.
It features Samantha
And
Stefanie
Shaufler singing
about using the fire and energy of youth to make the world a more hopeful
place.

On July 4, 2008, Bill and Kay had
new songs released on the Compilation CD, "An American Sampler", along
with 8 other artists. The CD is a collection of Americana,
Nostalgia, and Patriotic Songs, including several moving tributes to the
events of 9/11. Kay's song "Army Boots and Satin Slippers"
is released for the first time, as is Bill's new song
"I Am Erica".Also featured are
"Because the Sky Fell Down", and "Heart of the Storm".

In August: LUNCH begins the Fall season at J.B.
Williams Park in Glastonbury, at the annual CSA Showcase/Picnic . August 24,

In June, Bill and Kay were in West Virginia
to present and perform at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences at the
National Independent Music Conference.

University to present a math workshop at CAMPY (CT Association for
Mathematically Precocious Youth)
May 18 - The Ensemble presents a Hunger
Awareness Concert in Westerly RI, to benefit the Harvest Home Shelter.

May 9 -- We were back at the Shubert Theater in New Haven with
the original Harry Chapin Band. It was truly a night to remember, as the
Ensemble and the Chapin Band put on a great show to a standing ovation.

SEPTEMBER 2007

At the 2007 Independent Music Conference in
Philadelphia, Kay Pere was one of the 5 recipients of the 2007 Immie Awards,
recognizing her exceptional achievements as an independent artist and social
activist. Bill and Kay presented workshops and were mentors during
the 5-day event. Also receiving Immies were John Lilley, guitarist
for the internationally known group, The Hooters; Robert Case, music
publisher from Denver; Coole High, Brooklyn Hip Hop Artist; The Tokyo
Tramps, a country/blues group originally from Japan. (News
